All of our members pick up their share of the harvest every week at The Milk and Honey House, our farm stand, right at the farm. Each shareholder chooses their pick up day on either Wednesdays (4-6pm) or Saturdays (12-2pm). When chosen, this will be their assigned pick up day for the entire season.
Members choose one of two share types, standard or working. Earth-Shares has 30 slots in our workshare program. Working shares cost less in exchange for a 25-hour work commitment from the member, which is scheduled in specific "shifts" during the season.
Purchasing a workshare lowers the cost of vegetables for workers, allows you to contribute to the running of the farm, and may be a chance to learn more about organic farming methods. Working shareholders also help to ease the physical burden on the staff gardeners by taking on some of the tasks that involve repetitive kneeling and bending. Plus, our gardeners can (and do!) learn from workers with gardening or farming experience. The primary purpose of Earth-Shares workshare program is to augment the paid gardeners’ time and efforts in order to produce the vegetables.

For the 2016 season, Earth-Shares had a total of 110 shares available. 70 Standard ($500), 30 working ($375), and 10 Half Shares ($275). Working shares work 25 hours during the season assisting our farmers. Standard shares are always welcome to volunteer in the garden, but these hours do not reduce their share price.
